Happy 2018!!! I have never been one to make resolutions nor have I been one to expect major changes during the new year because I’m a firm believer if you feel like you need to change something in your life you shouldn’t wait for a certain time to do it, you should start where you are. However, this year I feel that there are changes that I need to make for myself that are both mental and physical to help make me better.
A few months ago I came across the book The One Thing by Garry Keller and Jay Papasan which intrigued me with its simplicity. The basic idea behind it is what one thing can we do that would make all others things easier or would eliminate other issues. So my idea was to find one thing that I could do this year that would help me in all areas of life. For me that thing is FOCUS!!! I am a driven, hardworking individual but I find it can be easy for em to get off task by prioritizing other less important things, or simply distracting myself. So this year my goal is to cut down the things that I don’t need and don’t find necessary and focus more on what pushes me forward. I’m taking this one concept and applying it in all areas, I guess we could call this the start of a 12 month experiment, we shall check in with the results on December 31 😉
